in an attempt to discourage the Sun from burning
up to its core, Space has dispelled the Sun of the privilege of Light.
or maybe that was the myth of Prometheus, giving
and Zeus, unable to then take back what Humans have poured
their hearts into, punished him for an eternity
that Prometheus knew could end
but Humans could not, could never know
that an eternity ends, and so the Gods prefer always
to punish them. but Humans
endure like Gods could not, could never
fathom. burning
up to our core but the privilege of Light could never be taken away from us. and so
holding magnifying glasses over weeds
where Seven-spotted Ladybugs are crawling
up, where the Wind attempts to blow and the Sun
resists Space, where Curious Kids
are finding out who can befriend them and who cannot
carefully observing Seven-spotted Ladybugs
crawling up their fingers where
we are living
we continue to burn
