If we accept your pitch, you’ll hear from us in a few weeks at the latest. If you don’t hear back, you can assume we didn’t think your book or product was a fit.
Because the Joseph Rauch business is still in its early stages, right now prices are dirt cheap. As our traffic and reach grows, we will gradually scale up, while staying significantly lower than other well-known review sites.

$300 | Review written by any contributor
After you submit payment, we will read and review your book according to our book review formats. The payment is for our time, not guarantee of a positive review.
Once our Google doc draft is finalized, we’ll share it with you and ask if you still want us to publish the review. If you want to publish the review, we’ll produce it as soon as possible, publish it and thoroughly promote it on our newsletter and organic social media channels. We’ll be sure to follow and tag you everywhere we can.
We publish lots of book list articles. If you think your book would fit well on a certain list, let us know. We’ll negotiate a custom rate depending on these factors:
- How much traffic the article receives per month
- Where on the list we decide to insert your book (toward the top or bottom) — Disclaimer: Position subject to change pending other sponsored placements and/or editorial decisions
- Your book’s price, which affects conversion rate
- Whether your book has ratings and reviews on Amazon
- Your book’s average rating on Amazon and Goodreads
Your payment guarantees the book will be included in the list for at least one year. After that year, we reserve the right to remove the book from the list. If an unforeseen issue causes us to remove the book before a year from addition, we will provide a full refund.
Why should only famous authors get public profile pages? Anyone should be able to have a public profile that is accurate and easy to update. Think of this service as a Wikipedia page with way better design and accessibility.
We don’t run advertorials where the article is all about the brand or product you want to plug. Instead we run articles that are “sponsored.” They are normal articles, but the sponsor is allowed to:
- Insert relevant in-body links to their website, external e-commerce, social media, PR pages, etc.
- Insert a bio at the bottom of the sponsored post that has promotional information and links
- Mention and link to their primary plugged brand/product in their byline
Regular contributors are usually not allowed these privileges.
There is a banner at the top of nearly every page on The Rauch Review. Normally we reserve banners for plugging one of Joseph’s books. Want it to plug your book instead? You may reserve one or more pages for one week at a time.
If you’re trying to build links, we totally understand. Pitch us the link you want to build and the Rauch Review page you want to build it on. If the link is a good fit, we’ll say yes to your pitch and send you a quote. Added links are not guaranteed to be permanent. If the quality of the link degrades, and we suspect the link is damaging our site, we will remove it and offer you a 75% refund.
We send a weekly email newsletter that includes a “Reads” section where we recommend literary fiction and nonfiction books. After you submit payment, we’ll schedule your book to be included in that section.

Our podcast, “Rauching to Judgment,” will plug just about anything that aligns with our values. It could be a book, TV show, film, another podcast, a product, a business — you name it.
